The Maneater is the official, independent student publication of the University of Missouri, with a readership of 30,000. The newspaper published twice weekly, and I served as staff writer, senior staff photographer and graphics designer to produce multimedia content since 2010. KBIA (91.3 FM) is a NPR-affiliated station in Columbia, Missouri. I served as a convergence reporter to cover local news in the Mid Missouri region in Spring 2012 and Summer 2013. In addition to producing aduio and web versions, I also took pictures and updated on social media while stories break in.

This linguistics paper is my capstone project for the Field Methods in Linguistics and Phonology class in Spring 2012. With the instruction of professor Michael Marlo, the class studied and recorded the Tiriki variety of Luyia with Billy Jivetti, a native speaker of the language.

Central Circuit is a monthly magazine for the student voice of Seattle Central Community College. Launched in 2010, the publication also covers news and events in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle. As the news editor, I am also one of the founding members in the editorial board of the magazine.
