At the edge of media converged, mobile and tablets become more and more popular and have its place in journalism. During my last semester at the University of Missouri, I was working on two mobile application development projects for both iOS and Windows 8 systems. In addition to conducting audience and marketing research, most of the time I serve as the designer for making wireframes and focusing on human interface designs.
ReLocator is a personalized tool that helps you find a new place to live, work and play.
This mobile app is a project for the iOS Application Development class in Spring 2013. Along with another journalism and four CS/IT students, we have came up with an idea of using the Big Data for an iOS app.
Pulling information from U.S. government databases such as the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Census Bureau and the National Weather Service, ReLocator helps to determine the best, new spot for you to call home.
Simply plug in your preferences on employment search, housing costs, and more and watch as ReLocator calculates and suggests the most accurate U.S. locations for you to comfortably and affordably live.
